Yesterday I posted the FZ2500 videos from our contributor. Today we have new videos of the Panasonic G85 and LX10 PAL cameras and how they can be hacked to allow NTSC frame rates. The instructions below should work with all the latest Lumix camera so give it a try if you need a world camera. Button sequence works with all latest Lumix units with firmware locked with PAL system frequency, including LX10 and G85
On LX10, sample video taken at MP4 1920p60 setting confirmed to be indeed 59.94p; other video settings (eg.4k 24p) not tested yet
NTSC framerate hack recap:
Switching to test mode to access 30/60p:
1. Switch OFF camera
2. Put Mode Dial into P
3. Press and hold DISP, AF/AE Lock and Right Cursor buttons while switching On
4. Press Playback button
5. Press and hold AF/AE Lock and Up Cursor buttons while switching Off
6. Power ON, then switch OFF. Black exclamation mark in yellow triangle will appear instead of Lumix logo
7. Reboot and camera will be in test mode
Reverting back to initial state:
1. Switch On camera
2. Put Mode Dial into P
3. Press and hold MENU/SET and Right Cursor buttons while switching Off. Initial Settings screen will appear
4. Press DISP button, Right Cursor button then Right Cursor button again
5. Lumix logo will appear. Camera is back to initial state
