Covering Micro Four Thirds Cameras & Lenses

There hasn’t been a lot of new news about the Panasonic GH5 since the announcement, but there are quite a few videos showing the cameras footage quality and ISO capabilities. You can even download files to color grade yourself. This is a very interesting camera and I can’t want to see if it’s half as good at photos as it is for video.

The initial Panasonic GH5 high ISO video results look very promising. This video was created on beta firmware internally at 4:2:0, 8-bit, 60p mode (59.94fps) in 4K UHD, H.264 Level High 5.2, 158 Mbps for Newsshooter. Check out what they have to say about the footage here.

Lok has his hands full at CES with the Panasonic GH5. He’s currently working a contract job so there is a primary and behind the scenes video of his coverage. It’s still not clear what will happens with the former digitalrev guys, but we wish them luck.

Newsshooter’s interview with Panasonic is very informative. Panasonic already has a firmware update planned that will add 4k/FHD 4:2:2 10-bit ALL-Intra, High-resolution Anamorphic Video Mode, and Hybrid Log-Gamma for 4k HDR Video.

Panasonic released a lot of great products yesterday that I’m sure will be hard to get so be sure to pre-order if you’re interested in them.
