The Panasonic AU-EVA1 Super 35 camera with Canon EF mount is a 5.7K Sony FS5/FS7 or Canon C200 competitor worth taking a look at if you’re not a fan of Sony or Canon cameras. While Kia seems sufficiently impressed with the prototype he was given he wasn’t able to test footage and the camera is so light that when you add a 24-70 to the front it becomes front heavy. The AU-EVA1 isn’t cheap, but it’s a competitive camera and you can get one from B&H Photo.
Panasonic released some firmware updates today that you can find here. The GH5 FW update is comprehensive improving autofocus and photo/video performance.
