The Panasonic AU-EVA1 Super 35 camera with Canon EF mount is a 5.7K Sony FS5/FS7 or Canon C200 competitor worth taking a look at if you’re not a fan of Sony or Canon cameras. While Kia seems sufficiently impressed with the prototype he was given he wasn’t able to test footage and the camera is so light that when you add a 24-70 to the front it becomes front heavy. The AU-EVA1 isn’t cheap, but it’s a competitive camera and you can get one from B&H Photo.

Fujinon MK For m43

Duclos Lenses and MTF services are offering conversion services for the excellent Fujinon MK E-mount lenses. According to Fujifilm, the results look great but they can’t guarantee that the quality is on par with E or X Mount. This should be a great option for Panasonic GH5 owners.

Profoto A1 For Olympus Kinda… Maybe 2018?

Profoto’s announcement of the Profoto A1 a few days ago was very much like announcements of old, with Canon/Nikon models confirmed and no other make mentioned. So fans took to social media to figure out what happened to Profoto’s recent expanded support and Olympus support is the foggiest soo far.


It sounds like you can use the current Profoto Olympus Air remote with the Nikon/Canon Profoto A1, but they don’t have a firm answer about a dedicated unit. This differs from the responses I found about Sony and Fujifilm, which was 2018. Will Profoto release an Olympus Profoto A1 in 2018? Maybe 2019? Time will tell.
