72 Hours Left to Save on Luminar 2018 and Aurora HDR 2018

Luminar 2018 is probably going to be my choice to replace Lightroom when they release the free digital asset manager later this year since I do not like what Adobe is doing with Lightroom. Panasonic Tops Lensrentals Most Popular New Photo & Video Gear Rented in 2017 List

The Panasonic GH5 is the little camera that could and it punches way above its price point for video. I am not at all surprised it did as well as it did in 2017. Even the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II made the list coming in 7th place followed by the Panasonic 12-35mm f/2.8 X Power OIS II. It was a good year for m43 at Lensrentals and you can see the full article here.

Lengthy Panasonic G9 Review by Camera Labs

The Panasonic G9 is starting to ship and Gordon Laing just released his lengthy Camera Labs video review as a three-part series. Overall he seems very impressed with the speed of the camera and the quality of the JPEGS, but the one thing in the m43 world that is starting to become an issue is to get the best image stabilization you need to use the lenses made by the camera manufacturer. It is kind of odd that Panasonic and Olympus haven’t worked more closely on their dual IS systems and maybe they will in the future, but this alone could push a photographer towards one brand over the other.
