Olympus OM-D EM-10 Mark III Preliminary Dynamic Range Comparison

Photons on Photos is quickly becoming the best source for camera dynamic range performance information and they just listed their preliminary measurements for the Olympus OM-D EM-10 Mark III and it’s a mild improvement over the original. Their preliminary results tend to be a bit conservative and I will post the final results when they are available, but for now, this is about what you should expect. Most micro four thirds cameras hover around the same range, including the flagship OM-D E-M1 Mark II. You can manipulate the results for yourself here.

Amazon has the Panasonic LX100 on sale for $559.95 in black only. B&H Photo still has it for $797.99, so the savings is roughly $240, which is more than the previous sale price of $150 off. This is a good value for a great camera so grab one while you can.

TCSTV: Nikon W300 vs. Olympus TG-5

Not your standard TCSTV review, because Chris Niccolls takes the Olympus TG-5 and Nikon W300 on a family trip. Both cameras are pretty good, but the TG-5 is a great camera with pro capture and unmatched macro capabilities. Olympus pro capture technology is probably the one feature the other manufacturers should copy.
