Panasonic’s LUMIX G9 and LEICA DG ELMARIT 200mm F/2.8 POWER OIS Images Leak

Nokishita leaked images of the Panasonic G9 and Panasonic Leica DG ELMARIT 200mm f/2.8 today. The Panasonic G9 was a known, but the Panasonic Leica 200mm f/2.8 was a bit of a surprise. There should be an official announcement within the next few weeks.

  • To be announced in the next 1-2 weeks, available after Christmas
  • Same photo capabilities as the GH5
  • Different video capabilities (compared to the GH5)
  • Second display on top of camera
  • Rumored price: €1,200 (around $1,400)
  • Very fast shooting rate with a large buffer (60 fps burst)
  • 80MB shooting mode – it can stitch multiple pictures (for example 6 pictures can produce 1GB final image)
  • 20MP sensor
  • 6k photo mode
  • Two memory card slots
  • New joystick (see leaked picture)

In addition to the camera body and lens, there appears to be a new 1.4X teleconverter. It is mounted on the lens in the final image.

      Well spotted!

As an EM1.2 user, love the G9 LCD & joystick, but to me, that’s one seriously ugly baby! 🙂

    • I hope they nail the price on the G9… m43 prices have been going in the wrong direction.

      e.g. $1400 with a decent lens would be good…
