New: OM SYSTEM OM-3 camera recipes

OM SYSTEM recently introduced new recipes for the OM-3 camera. Here are the details:

  • Overview of OM-3 Recipes: OM-3 Recipes are a creative hub launched by OM System for users of the OM-3 camera to explore, create, and share custom JPEG camera settings via the innovative Creative Dial, enabling photographers to achieve unique, consistent looks straight out of camera (SOOC).
  • Key Features: Users can craft personalized recipes by adjusting color profiles, curves, sharpness, contrast, and more using the Creative Dial; recipes are saved as JPEG images for easy loading and sharing within the OM System community; the hub showcases ambassador-created recipes with accompanying stories and example images to inspire users.
  • How They Work: Select a Creative Dial position (e.g., Color, Mono), fine-tune settings on-camera, capture and save as a JPEG; to load shared recipes, download the JPEG file and upload it via OM Workspace software following step-by-step video instructions for seamless integration.
  • Official Featured Recipes:
    • Jerred Z’s Old-School Monochrome: Delivers a classic street photography vibe with soft midtones, deep shadows, and added grain for a timeless black-and-white aesthetic.
    • Kyler Steele’s “Nostalgic Summer”: A vintage-inspired color profile emphasizing vibrant greens and golden yellows while desaturating blues, perfect for sunny, high-contrast scenes evoking film-era warmth.
    • Ali O’Keefe’s Versatile Neutral: Offers rich contrast with cooler tones, softened greens, and a balanced neutral palette suitable for diverse subjects like portraits or landscapes.
    • Kitty Marie’s “Red Soda Pop”: Warms overall tones to make reds pop dramatically, while subtly muting yellows and greens for a softened, dream-like quality ideal for colorful, everyday scenes.
    • Paul Clark’s Natural Balance: Boosts warm and cool tones, reduces greens and magentas, with softer contrast, lifted shadows, lowered highlights, and decreased sharpness for a clean, lifelike rendering.
    • Jonathan Paragas’ “OM-CHROME”: Captures the vibrant hues of urban life, mimicking the punchy, saturated look of classic 35mm positive slide film.
