E-M1: Ver.4.2 Firmware Update Temporary Suspension Announcement

Olympus officially pulled Firmware 4.2 for the Olympus OM-D E-M1 today, but our readers were already aware of the issues. Their statement follows:

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of our products.

Some customers have received inquiries about defects after updating to E – M1 firmware Ver. 4.2, we are temporarily interrupting the update service to Ver. 4.2 for the purpose of investigation, updating up to Ver. 4.1 I will make it a service.
Regarding the timing of restarting the update service, we will post it again as soon as it is decided.

Currently, HDR shooting, depth synthetic shooting, hand-held night scene, has confirmed a bug that malfunction when the shooting confirmation of setting the digital shift shooting was carried out at Off. Until the resumption of the update service, to when to use these shooting modes, please use the setting of confirmation shooting with other than Off.
