Image Sensor World spotted 6 new global shutter sensors on Sony’s website. The IMX367LLA, IMX342LQA, IMX392LQR, IMX305LQR, IMX304LLR/LQR, and IMX267LLR/LQR are very interesting and range from 2.35MP 1/2.3-inch IMX392LLR/LQR to 31.5MP APS-C IMX342LLA/LQA.
The new m43 global shutter sensor could easily end up in a future Panasonic GH6 or Olympus camera. Global shutter technology has been talked about for years and remains very high on the list of things that photographers and videographers want/need and 2018/2019 could end up being the first time consumers gain access to the technology in a professional camera.
Description
The IMX367LLA is a diagonal 21.6 mm (Type 4 / 3) CMOS active pixel type solid-state image sensor with a square
pixel array and 19.66 M effective pixels. This chip features a global shutter with variable charge-integration time. This
chip operates with analog 3.3 V, digital 1.2 V, and interface 1.8 V triple power supply, and has low power consumption.
High sensitivity, low dark current and low PLS characteristics are achieved.
(Applications: FA cameras, ITS cameras)
